Augure Desktop 3 beta

A workspace for AI conversation, skills, tools, projects and editable files.

Current release: 3.0.0-beta.12. French is now available in the desktop interface. This release adds repeatable document generation from approved Word masters and brand settings, preserves content controls during template filling, and strengthens PDF form validation and flattening. PDF regeneration requires LibreOffice. Generated files still need visual and intended-reader review.

Install

- Mac: choose Apple Silicon for a Mac with an Apple M-series chip, or Intel for an Intel Mac. Requires macOS 14 or later. Open the disk image and drag Augure to Applications, then launch it there. The Mac apps are signed and notarized.
- Windows: run the 64-bit installer on Windows 10 or 11. This beta is unsigned; Windows may show a security warning.
- Linux: use the x86-64 AppImage or the Debian package. Tested on Ubuntu 24.04. AppImage availability can depend on the FUSE support installed on your distribution.

Download only from Augure’s desktop page (https://augureai.ca/products/desktop). The release includes checksums for verifying downloaded files.

Choose the recommended setup

For everyday use, select Install Augure locally. Augure sets up its runtime and tools on this computer. The initial setup needs an internet connection and may take several minutes. Python, document tools and voice transcription dependencies are installed automatically.

“Local” refers to where your workspace and tools run. AI requests still use your Augure account; it does not mean fully offline AI.

Choose Connect to an existing gateway only if your team or administrator has provided a gateway address.

Sign in with your Augure account, follow the permission prompts for the features you want, and bring your first task. Microphone access is needed for voice input. Some tools and connected services have their own setup or permissions.

Some document-to-PDF conversions, previews and Excel formula recalculation need LibreOffice, which is not included with Augure. If Augure asks for it, install LibreOffice or open the workbook in Excel to recalculate formulas. Augure can create editable files without LibreOffice.

Keep work together

Use Projects to organise related chats. You can add an existing chat to a project and return to its files and context later. Local scheduled work needs the computer awake and the runtime available.

Update

Use Check for Updates in Augure. Finish or stop active tasks before applying an update. Your workspace data is stored separately from each application runtime version.

This is a beta release. Review generated documents, calculations and presentations before sharing them.

If an earlier beta's welcome screen does not respond

Press Escape once, then click Augure to sign in. Install the latest version from the desktop download page for the permanent fix. You do not need to delete your chats or reset your profile.
